Qualify, cultivate, and solicit
alumni and friends of the University for current and deferred gifts through
annual and monthly action plans of Moves Management steps.
Develop and maintain an ongoing
portfolio of 175+ key donors for the purpose of soliciting unrestricted,
current, planned and major gifts.
Provide appropriate staffing at
advancement and alumni events.
Maintain constituent reports
for every donor contact.
Set and achieve agreed upon
performance goals.
Strategically plan and
implement objectives with key contacts.
Manage individual supplies,
operations and travel budgets.
Foster teamwork with fellow
team members.
Attend life events for donors
and their family members.
Perform miscellaneous job-related
duties as assigned.
Senior Development Officer must have proven track record
of successful development/fundraising experience.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
One to five years of related
work experience is required for Development Officer.
Six to ten years of
related experience is required for Senior Development Officer.
Must understand
generational differences and be able to effectively utilize the appropriate
medium to reach different audiences.
Must be strong in
computer and customer service skills.
Must know and use
proper telephone etiquette.
Strong organizational
skills required.
Must be able to
maintain confidentiality concerning financial records and other personal
information.
Must be proficient
with computers, comfortable talking on the phone and in meetings, sitting for
long periods of time and have ability to drive for extensive work-related
travel.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This
position is a Full-Time, Exempt Level/Salaried Staff position.
A
minimum of a 40-hour work week is expected. Irregular hours and evening and
weekend work and/or assignments beyond a 40-hour week is required during peak
season and/or to meet project deadlines is required.
Frequent travel is required, including evenings and weekends,
especially as part of travel.
Occasionally holiday work is also required.
Additional travel may be required on occasion to
attend training workshops on occasion.
Must have and
maintain a valid Class C Driver’s License and maintain a clear driving record
to be insurable under the university liability policy.
Must be able to drive to
complete work assignments on and off campus, as needed.
