SUMMARY/SCOPE: PA Adjunct Faculty will teach and coordinate a PA clinical course for
Summer, Fall, and Spring semesters. Additional duties include departmental
grading, clinical site/preceptor recruitment, and participation in student
admissions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Grading student patient notes/assignments, evaluating preceptor
feedback, assess student competency on assignments and patient logs, enter
grades, coordinate schedules for students, recruit new clinical preceptors, and
review student admission applications.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Graduate
from an accredited PA program with a minimum MPAS degree (or equivalent) or
higher. Previous teaching or guest lecture experience in a physician assistant
program preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensure or eligibility for
licensure as a PA in the state of Texas.
Current NCCPA certification
required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The
job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of
time while performing office and computer operations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Online and in classroom for callback days
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This
position is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than 29 hours per week)
with teaching load at the Hardin-Simmons University campus.
Must
be a resident of the state of Texas.
