SUMMARY/SCOPE:
The Institute for Leadership is in the Cynthia Ann Parker College of
Liberal Arts. The program offers a certificate in Leadership. We seek to hire a
part-time, adjunct faculty member to teach undergraduate courses in Leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach undergraduate courses in Leadership.
Demonstrate effective teaching
strategies by planning and implementing a variety of teaching methods as well
as assessment.
Maintain accurate records and
documents, submit timely reports, and be responsive to students.
Records/documents include but are not limited to syllabi and grades.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
The completion of a doctoral degree in a relevant area is preferred. Completion
of a master’s degree is required, with at least 18 graduate credits completed
in a relevant area. Professional and teaching experience in relevant areas is preferred.

None are required for this position at this time.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The
job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of
time while performing office and computer operations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This
position is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than 29 hours per week)
that involves teaching in-person classes on campus at Hardin-Simmons University
in Abilene, Texas.
Must be a resident of the state of Texas.
