POSITION:  Summer - HSU Softball Camp

DEPARTMENT:  Athletics

SUPERVISOR TITLE:  Head Softball Coach

LOCATION:  Abilene

SUMMARY/SCOPE:

To assist the HSU Softball camp in conducting camps for grades K-6th or 6th-12th. Workers are to help with throwing, hitting, or pitching drills and maintain a positive environment for the campers. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Setup and cleanup of the complex for camps.

Throwing front toss to campers and hitting balls for defensive reps.

For kids camp they will participate in fun games with the campers.

For the high school camp they will act as a team “coach” for scrimmages. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Current college student at HSU and experience playing softball through high school

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The ability to throw and hit balls for drills and be on their feet for 4-8 hours a day. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Camp worker must support a positive environment for learning for the campers

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

HSU staff are the supervisors for the camp workers.
