SUMMARY/SCOPE: Distant Student Teacher Supervisor for three student teaching observations in Carrolton, TX.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Supervision of one student teacher in Carrolton, TX.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Certified teacher in the state of Texas. Completed supervisor training or T-TESS training.

Experience in the public school setting.

Familiarity with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Texas public schools and State Board for Educator Certification/ Texas Education Agency standards including discrete knowledge and skills for beginning teachers on which Texas teacher preparation programs base curriculum and are held accountable.

Familiarity with best, well-researched teaching practices.

Christian who will be supportive of the mission of Hardin-Simmons University.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Current Texas teacher certification or eligibility for the Texas credential.

Experience in the public school setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Classroom observation work; working with technology, travel for field experiences

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Visit public School Campus

This position is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than 29 hours per week) with teaching load at the Hardin-Simmons University campus.

Must be a resident of the state of Texas.
