SUMMARY/SCOPE:
This position is part-time/no
benefits. We are looking
for a part-time pianist to accompany our students in in rehearsals and
performances during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Accompany School of Music students in rehearsals
and performances.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
There are no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (Language, Mathematical, Reasoning and Computer Skills):
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and
correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or
employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to
add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and
100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and
weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply
common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written,
oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete
variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job
successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software;
Spreadsheet software; Internet software; Payroll systems and Order processing
systems.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Expertise and experience providing piano
accompaniment is required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This
position is a Part-Time/No Benefits, Non-Exempt/Hourly Staff position which
requires no more than 10 hours per week providing piano accompaniment on campus
at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.
Non-Exempt/Hourly
employees who work beyond 40 hours during a single work week will be
compensated at time and a half, per FLSA guidelines.
Must
be able to drive to complete work assignments on, as needed.
Must
have and maintain a valid Class C Driver’s License and maintain a clear driving
record to be insurable under the university liability policy.
