SUMMARY/SCOPE:
The Kelley College of Business and Professional
Studies (KCOBPS) is searching for a strong candidate with business and
management experience and education to apply for a critical position within the
College. The department has a solid student group with nearly 100% placement
for graduates in multiple fields within the business community.
The KCOBPS is looking for two (2) new faculty members to
teach undergraduate and graduate courses. The candidates must possess a
master’s degree in business, management or related field with preference given
to those with a Ph.D. JD’s will be considered. The teaching load is 12 credits
per semester with summer teaching possible with additional compensation. KCOBPS
teaches topics in accounting, management, marketing, business law, human
resource management, organizational behavior, finance and economics among
others. While the primary focus is imparting knowledge in the classroom, it is
the goal of the College to develop students into productive community members;
therefore, business experience outside the classroom is also expected.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide exemplary teaching of
introductory and upper-level business and/or economics classes.
Advise current and prospective
students studying business administration and/or economics.
Collaborate effectively with
faculty, staff, administrators, and members of the community.
Participate in recruitment
activities for the College as well as the university.
Provide service to the university
through involvement in committees as well as university activities (e.g.,
commencement), and actively engaged in the community and church
Engage in ongoing scholarly work
as well as professional development.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
There
are no supervisor responsibilities, except for student workers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management or Economics is required.
A doctoral
degree is strongly preferred, though ABD candidates will be considered.
Teaching and
significant business experience is preferred.

is a Full-Time, Exempt Level Faculty position with a teaching load at the

graduation ceremonies, etc.
Ability to
travel for recruiting or training is desired.
Must have and
maintain a valid Class C Driver’s License and maintain a clear driving record
to be insurable under the university liability policy.
Must be able to
drive to complete work assignments on and off campus, as needed.
