performance of student-athletes.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to
NCAA, American Southwest Conference, and Hardin-Simmons University policies and
procedures as they pertain to the flag football program.
Organization
and Administration: Manage all team fund-raising and booster events in accordance with University,
Conference, and NCAA expectations, and institutional rules, policies, and
procedures. Participate in long-range planning and assessment, attend all
departmental training sessions and meetings, read and comply with all
departmental policy manuals. Opportunity to develop sport camps and conferences
as fundraisers and compensation supplement.
Communication: Thorough and frequent
communication with fellow staff members, student-athletes, supervisors and coaches.
Perform
other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Athletics.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise graduate student workers, including graduate
assistants and approved HSU volunteer coaches.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (Language, Mathematical, Reasoning and Computer Skills):
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read a
limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities
and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print
and speak simple sentences.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and
to draw and interpret bar graphs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree from four-year
college or university required.
Master's degree preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
CPR/AED Certification required or the ability to obtain, if selected.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This is an
Exempt Level Professional Position which often requires extended hours beyond a
40-hour work week, especially during the peak season(s) for sports.
Must be able to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends
depending on the time of year.
There are afternoon practices during season and competitions and performances
in the afternoons and on weekends.
Must have and maintain a valid Class C Driver’s License and maintain a clear
driving record to be insurable under the university liability policy.
Must be able to
drive an automobile and 15-passenger van.
Must be able to
drive to complete work assignments on and off campus, as needed.
Additional
travel may be required on occasion in order to attend training, etc.
