Provide
leadership to and management for the following areas: Residence Life, Student
Engagement, Student Services, Global Engagement and
University Counseling Services.
Encourages professional and personal development of
staff, including the development and accomplishment of objectives and actions
connected with mission.
Fosters a collective effort to positively shape the
student experience – an education enlightened by faith.
Provides guidance for a residential system that
includes almost 1200 residents and programming.
Ensures holistic student programming to build
community and lifelong relationships through appropriate developmental and
educational initiatives.
Leads efforts to integrate family in student
persistence.
Oversees fiscal responsibilities related to the supervised
areas.
Orchestrate
the student judicial process, including updating and directing university
policy.
Develops a judicial program based upon institutional
values. Administers student discipline
and trains judicial hearing officers.
Advocates for college students and involves them as
appropriate in divisional decision-making processes. Counsels with students and parents as
needed.
Reviews, revises, and implements university policies
related to student life. Oversees updating of the university student handbook.
Serves as the student grievance officer for all
non-academic issues.
Works
in partnership with Academic Affairs to develop, implement, and evaluate
curricular and co-curricular programs that integrate faith and learning.
Oversees
the Threat Assessment Team (TAT) and works collaboratively with University
Police on issues of safety.
Serves
as the facilitator of the Student Care Team.
Serves
on various committees as assigned.
Oversees
marketing plans, publications, and website design/content for Student Life.
Serve as advisor for Student Government Association.
Provides direction for staff that oversee student
activities, social clubs, and other campus organizations.
Oversees the planning and implementation of new
student orientation programs (Cowboy Connect & Stampede).
Serve as Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
Adheres to guidelines in the University Personnel
& Safety Handbooks and departmental policies.
Assists Vice President with strategic planning for
Student Life, including the implementation of the University master plan (which
includes the design and construction of additional residential facilities) and
the development and implementation of the Student Life strategic plan.
Perform
other special tasks, projects and duties as assigned by the Vice President of
Student Life.

directors and/or assistant directors for Residence Life, Student Engagement,
Student Services and Global Engagement, and University Counseling.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree required; Doctorate
preferred.
Four
to ten years related experience and/or training is required.
Previous customer-service oriented work, including the
ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students,
parents, alumni, faculty and/or staff.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This is an Exempt/Salaried, Full-Time Staff Position. Working beyond a normal 40-hour week
is a definite including occasional nights and weekends.
Must have and maintain a valid Class C Driver’s License and
maintain a clear driving record to be insurable under the university liability
policy.
Must be able to drive to complete work assignments on and
off campus, as needed.
Occasional travel and irregular hours are required at
times.
