Responsible for having knowledge of federal regulations
such as the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other best
practices for the creation, maintenance, and retrieval of student academic
records.
Responsible for transfer credit articulation including
managing transcript records, evaluation and posting of transfer credits,
including updates in Transfer Evaluation System.
Serve as the VA School Certifying Official assisting
students receiving VA or TA benefits, submit certification of enrollment for
students receiving VA benefits and tuition assistance for active military.
Includes preparing military surveys and required reporting for compliance.
Responsible for administration of the Papervision scanning
system for storage of all records, including training and support of scanning,
verifying, and security access.
Assist with census and end of term processing including
update of student records and the production of academic standing letters and
term honors cards.
Update student records as needed.
Provide outstanding customer service.
General office duties (answer phone calls, assist visitors,
process mail, etc.).
Participate in events hosted by the Office of the Registrar
and other university events pertaining to the enrollment of students (i.e., veteran
recruiting, commencement ceremonies, Cowboy Connect, etc.).

job has no supervisory responsibilities, except overseeing of student
workers.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Experience in a
University Registrar’s Office or similar educational administrative setting
preferred.
Must be a service
minded individual with excellent organizational skills with demonstrated
ability to work independently on multiple tasks with a high degree of accuracy
with utmost integrity required.
Must be able to work
with an effective team in an open office environment.
Must be able to
exercise sound judgment in applying complex guidelines and regulations, and the
ability to work effectively with all levels of the campus community.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This
position is a Non-Exempt/Hourly Staff position which requires a regular 40-hour
workweek at minimum (plus occasional overtime).
Working
beyond a normal 40-hour week, including evenings and weekends, is possible
during peak season and/or to meet internal deadlines.
Non-Exempt/Hourly
employees who work beyond 40 hours during a single work week will be
compensated at time and a half, per FLSA guidelines.
Infrequent
travel may be required on occasion in order to attend training workshops.
Must have and
maintain a valid Class C Driver’s License and maintain a clear driving record
to be insurable under the university liability policy.
Must be able to drive to complete work assignments on
and off campus, as needed.
