POSITION:  HSU Workstudy Athletic Training Assistant - Hydration Specialist

DEPARTMENT:  Athletic Training

SUPERVISOR TITLE:  Assistant Athletic Trainer

SUMMARY/SCOPE: Students will be required to do certain jobs at specific sporting events discussed during the application process. Students will be required to exhibit the values held by Hardin-Simmons and represent the institution well. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Fill assorted water coolers and bottles with ice and water.

Set up hydration stations at specific points on the game and practice football fields

Drive a gator with attached trailer safely

Ensure that hydration stations are set up prior to practice/game each day

Load and unload trailer with tables, coolers, and sports medicine supplies

Clean up field set up following practice/games

Ensure gator is full of gas prior to practice/games

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Current HSU Student

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand or sit for hours at a time

Must be able to team lift a full water cooler (about 50 lbs.)

Be prepared to work in inclement weather

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

All work hours will be outside during the fall semester

Must be prepared for inclement weather

Afternoon, evening, and weekend work is required
