SUMMARY/SCOPE:
Students will be required
to do certain jobs at specific sporting events discussed during the application
process. Students will be required to exhibit the values held by Hardin-Simmons
and represent the institution well.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sell tickets to spectators at football games
Responsible for counting correct change at football games
Helping spectators find their seats at football games
Distribute rosters to guests as they enter Shelton Stadium
Required to stand at entrance gates and ensure each guest has purchased a ticket during football games
Lock and unlock locker rooms for opposing teams during football games
Ensure that only individuals for the opposing team enter Mabee Athletic Complex during football games
Use provided mops to sweep the floor after certain plays at basketball games
Be aware of what is happening on the court and ready to assist the referees with insuring the floor is playable at basketball games
Keeping up with play during soccer games to be ready and provide players with balls at any moment.
Running to get the ball that was kicked out of bounds and back to their sideline during soccer games.
Be attentive to keep balls in play and provide a ball to the student-athletes competing during volleyball games.
Provide customer service at all sporting events.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Current HSU Student
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to stand or sit for hours at a time
Be prepared to work in inclement weather
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
All work hours will be outside during the spring semester
Must be prepared for inclement weather
Evening and weekend work is required
