SUMMARY/SCOPE:
We are looking for part-time, adjunct faculty members to provide private
instruction for various, specific musical instruments to undergraduate students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach an undergraduate private instruction course in the School of Music.
Demonstrate effective teaching strategies
by planning and implementing a variety of teaching methods as well as
assessment.
Maintain accurate records and
documents, submit timely reports, and be responsive to students.
Records/documents include but are not limited to syllabi and grades.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Master’s degree in music is required. Teaching
experience preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The
job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of
time while performing office and computer operations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This
position is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than 29 hours per week)
that involves teaching in-person classes on campus at Hardin-Simmons University
in Abilene, Texas.
Must be a resident of the state of Texas
