An artist-performer and

Contribute
to the development and maintenance of the music theory core and composition studies.
Teach
courses in the music theory core curriculum.

composition students as needed.
Prepare students for recitals as per their program requirements

the keyboard program.

of styles including classical, jazz, worship, musical theatre, and contemporary

Maintain accurate student records, including syllabi, attendance, and

Advise current and prospective students.
Collaborate with music and theatre faculty in the mounting of musicals,
operas, opera scenes and other musical presentations as needed.
Participate in recruitment activities for the School of Music.
Collaborate effectively with
faculty, staff, administrators, and members of the community.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position is a Full-Time Exempt Level position
with a teaching load at the Hardin-Simmons University campus. Must be willing
to relocate to Abilene, Texas, or the surrounding area to teach in-person
classes on the HSU Campus.
Must have and maintain a valid Class C Driver’s
License and maintain a clear driving record to be insurable under the
university liability policy.
Must be able to drive to complete work assignments on
and off campus, as needed.
Office and classroom work; working with technology,
travel for field experiences.
