SUMMARY/SCOPE:
The SLP Graduate Program
invites qualified individuals to apply for the Adjunct instructor pool.
The adjunct teaching positions are for Fall 2024 and Spring 2025. Courses
vary from semester to semester depending on the department teaching
needs.
For
qualified instructors there is an option for online teaching.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
The anticipated courses for the
Adjunct Instructor to teach include but are not limited to:
SLP 6352 Phonological Disorders – Spring 2025
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Qualified candidates must have a doctorate in speech-language pathology or related field (Ph.D. or Ed.D.)
Previous teaching experience
preferred - 5 or more years as a practicing speech-language pathologist
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed to Practice Speech-Language
Pathology or Audiology in the United States.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The
job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of
time while performing office and computer operations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This
position is a part-time/temp adjunct position (no more than 29 hours per week)
with teaching load at the Hardin-Simmons University campus.
Must
be a resident of the state of Texas or be licensed to practice as a
speech-language pathologist in the state of Texas.
